This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14456) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human USP7, targeting the amino acid region 1–93 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human USP7 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. USP7, also known as ubiquitin-specific protease 7 (USP7) or herpesvirus-associated ubiquitin-specific protease (HAUSP), is a cysteine protease belonging to the ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) family of deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs). It functions primarily by cleaving ubiquitin chains from target proteins, thereby modulating their stability, localization, activity, and interactions within the ubiquitin-proteasome system, with a preference for Lys48- and Lys63-linked polyubiquitin chains. Encoded by the USP7 gene on human chromosome 16p13.2, USP7 is an essential protein, as its homozygous knockout leads to early embryonic lethality in mice, and heterozygous loss-of-function mutations are associated with neurodevelopmental disorders including intellectual disability, speech delays, and autism spectrum features. Aberrant expression or dysregulation of USP7 is implicated in various cancers, where it acts as both an oncoprotein and tumor suppressor depending on cellular context, making it a promising therapeutic target.
DPABH-14456 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-14456 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
