General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16445) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human URB2. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. URB2 (URB2 Ribosome Biogenesis 2 Homolog) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes a protein involved in ribosome biogenesis, the process by which ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and ribosomal subunits are assembled. URB2 is a homolog of yeast Urb2, which is known to participate in the maturation of the large ribosomal subunit. In humans, URB2 is thought to localize to the nucleolus, the cellular site of ribosome assembly, where it may contribute to the processing and assembly of rRNA and ribosomal protein complexes. By supporting ribosome production, URB2 plays an indirect but essential role in protein synthesis and cellular growth. Although its precise molecular mechanisms are not fully characterized, it is considered important for maintaining efficient ribosome assembly and normal cellular function.
DPABH-16445 is suitable for use in IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) application.
DPABH-16445 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
