General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19550) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UQCRFS1, targeting the amino acid region 104–274 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. UQCRFS1 is a protein-coding gene in humans located on chromosome 19q12 that encodes the Rieske iron-sulfur polypeptide 1 (also known as UQCRFS1 or Rieske protein 1), a nuclear-encoded subunit of the cytochrome bc1 complex (complex III) within the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This subunit contains a [2Fe-2S] iron-sulfur cluster essential for electron transfer from ubiquinol to cytochrome c during oxidative phosphorylation. Predicted to exhibit oxidoreductase activity (EC 7.1.1.8), UQCRFS1 plays a critical role in the assembly of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III and facilitates respiratory electron transport, contributing to ATP production in cells. The gene is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the heart (RPKM 101.2) and kidney (RPKM 70.7), reflecting its importance in energy-demanding organs.
DPABH-19550 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-19550 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
