General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05575) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UGT2B4. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. UGT2B4 is a human gene that encodes the enzyme UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 2B4 (UGT2B4), a phase II metabolizing enzyme belonging to the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) family, which catalyzes the conjugation of glucuronic acid to lipophilic substrates such as steroids, bile acids, and xenobiotics to enhance their water solubility for detoxification and excretion. Located on the long arm of chromosome 4 at position 4q13.3, the gene spans approximately 45.9 kb and consists of 7 exons, producing a protein predicted to localize to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. UGT2B4 exhibits glucuronosyltransferase activity (EC 2.4.1.17) and plays key roles in estrogen metabolism and xenobiotic biotransformation, with expression predominantly restricted to the liver, where it shows high transcript levels (RPKM 259.3).
DPABH-05575 is suitable for use in IHC (1:100–1:200) application.
DPABH-05575 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
