General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01262) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UBR1, targeting the amino acid region 1–98 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human UBR1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The N-end rule pathway is one proteolytic pathway of the ubiquitin system. The recognition component of this pathway, encoded by this gene, binds to a destabilizing N-terminal residue of a substrate protein and participates in the formation of a substrate-linked multiubiquitin chain. This leads to the eventual degradation of the substrate protein. The protein described in this record has a RING-type zinc finger and a UBR-type zinc finger. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Johanson-Blizzard syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. DPABH-01262 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications. DPABH-01262 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
