General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28903) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TYMP. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with TYMP from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The TYMP gene encodes thymidine phosphorylase (TP), a multifunctional enzyme also known as platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor (PDECGF) or gliostatin, which catalyzes the reversible phosphorolysis of thymidine (or deoxyuridine) to thymine (or uracil) and 2-deoxy-D-ribose 1-phosphate in the pyrimidine nucleotide salvage pathway. Located on the long arm of human chromosome 22 at cytogenetic band q13.33 (GRCh38 coordinates: 22:50,525,752-50,530,085), TYMP spans 10 exons and produces multiple alternatively spliced transcripts, with the primary isoform encoding a 482-amino-acid protein that forms a homodimeric structure of approximately 90-100 kDa.
DPABH-28903 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200) applications.
DPABH-28903 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
