General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13194) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TEKT5, targeting the amino acid region 1–146 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TEKT5 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TEKT5 (Tektin 5) is a member of the tektin family of structural proteins that are primarily associated with cilia and flagella, where they contribute to the stability and organization of axonemal microtubules. Tektins are coiled-coil–containing proteins that form filamentous structures within the microtubule doublets of motile cilia and sperm flagella, helping maintain their structural integrity and proper mechanical function. TEKT5 is predominantly expressed in testis and is thought to play a role in spermatogenesis, particularly in sperm flagellar assembly and motility. By contributing to the structural framework of the axoneme, it may influence sperm movement and male fertility. However, the precise molecular interactions and regulatory mechanisms involving TEKT5 remain incompletely characterized, and much of its functional annotation is inferred from homology with other tektin family members.
DPABH-13194 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-13194 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
