This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00172) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human S100A1, targeting the amino acid region 1–94 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human S100A1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. S100A1, also known as protein S100-A1, is a small, acidic calcium-binding protein encoded by the S100A1 gene on human chromosome 1q21.3, consisting of three exons and producing a 94-amino acid polypeptide with a molecular weight of approximately 10 kDa. As a member of the S100 family of EF-hand calcium-binding proteins, it features a characteristic homodimeric structure with two calcium-binding motifs—a pseudo EF-hand in the N-terminal region and a canonical EF-hand in the C-terminal region—enabling calcium-dependent conformational changes that facilitate interactions with target proteins.
DPABH-00172 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-00172 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
