General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04721) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human RAD21, targeting the amino acid region 531–631 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with RAD21 from rat, mouse, chicken, dog, pig, cow, and horse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to the gene product of Schizosaccharomyces pombe rad21, a gene involved in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks, as well as in chromatid cohesion during mitosis. This protein is a nuclear phospho-protein, which becomes hyperphosphorylated in cell cycle M phase. The highly regulated association of this protein with mitotic chromatin specifically at the centromere region suggests its role in sister chromatid cohesion in mitotic cells.
DPABH-04721 is suitable for use in IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500), flow cytometry (FC) (3 μg/test) applications.
DPABH-04721 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
