General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23378) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PYGO1, targeting the amino acid region 3–365 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PYGO1 (Pygopus Family PHD Finger 1) is a nuclear protein that functions as a key transcriptional co-activator in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. It contains a plant homeodomain (PHD) finger that enables binding to histone modifications, particularly methylated histone H3 tails, thereby linking chromatin states to transcriptional activation. PYGO1 acts in concert with β-catenin and other transcriptional co-factors to promote the expression of Wnt target genes. Functionally, PYGO1 is important for embryonic development, stem cell maintenance, and cell fate determination, as Wnt signaling is a central regulator of these processes. It contributes to chromatin remodeling at Wnt-responsive promoters and facilitates sustained transcriptional activation. Dysregulation of PYGO1 and Wnt pathway components has been implicated in various cancers, where aberrant activation can drive proliferation, survival, and tumor progression.
DPABH-23378 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application.
DPABH-23378 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
