General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15083) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PIK3C2B, targeting the amino acid region 1–350 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) family. PI3-kinases play roles in signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation, cell survival, cell migration, and intracellular protein trafficking. This protein contains a lipid kinase catalytic domain as well as a C-terminal C2 domain, a characteristic of class II PI3-kinases. C2 domains act as calcium-dependent phospholipid binding motifs that mediate translocation of proteins to membranes, and may also mediate protein-protein interactions. The PI3-kinase activity of this protein is sensitive to low nanomolar levels of the inhibitor wortmanin. The C2 domain of this protein was shown to bind phospholipids but not Ca2+, which suggests that this enzyme may function in a calcium-independent manner.
DPABH-15083 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:100–1:400), IF/ICC (1:10–1:100) applications.
DPABH-15083 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
