General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-07595) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PHYHD1, targeting the amino acid region 1–297 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PHYHD1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PHYHD1 (Phytanoyl-CoA Dioxygenase Domain Containing 1) encodes a protein that contains a Fe(II)/2-oxoglutarate–dependent dioxygenase domain, suggesting a role in oxidative metabolism. Proteins in this enzyme family typically catalyze hydroxylation reactions involved in diverse biological processes, including lipid metabolism, amino acid modification, and cellular responses to oxygen availability. PHYHD1 is predicted to localize to intracellular compartments, possibly the cytoplasm or mitochondria, where it may participate in metabolic or redox-related pathways. Expression data indicate that it is present in multiple tissues, with some studies suggesting enrichment in the brain, implying potential roles in neural metabolism or function. Although its precise substrates and biochemical activity remain incompletely defined, PHYHD1 is thought to contribute to metabolic homeostasis, and emerging evidence has linked it to neurological conditions, although these associations require further validation.
DPABH-07595 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application.
DPABH-07595 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
