General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-27579) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PAK4, targeting the amino acid region 299–542 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PAK4 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. p21-activated kinase 4 (PAK4) is a serine/threonine protein kinase encoded by the PAK4 gene located on human chromosome 19q13.2, belonging to the group II (nonconventional) subfamily of p21-activated kinases (PAKs). As an effector of the small GTPase CDC42, PAK4 regulates key cellular processes including cytoskeletal reorganization, filopodia formation, cell morphology, proliferation, migration, and survival signaling, while also mediating anti-apoptotic effects through pathways such as JNK activation and BAD phosphorylation. The protein consists of 591 amino acids, featuring an N-terminal regulatory domain with a GTPase-binding site and a C-terminal catalytic kinase domain that is active independently of Rho GTPase binding, distinguishing it from group I PAKs.
DPABH-27579 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-27579 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
