This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03493) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PABPC5. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PABPC5 from rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a protein that binds to the polyA tail found at the 3' end of most eukaryotic mRNAs. It is thought to play a role in the regulation of mRNA metabolic processes in the cytoplasm. This gene is located in a gene-poor region within the X-specific 13d-sY43 subinterval of the chromosome Xq21.3/Yp11.2 homology block. It is located close to translocation breakpoints associated with premature ovarian failure, and is therefore a potential candidate gene for this disorder.
DPABH-03493 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:100–1:200) applications.
DPABH-03493 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C.
