General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05307) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human P4HA2, targeting the amino acid region 301–400 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with P4HA2 from mouse, rat, chicken, dog, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a component of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a key enzyme in collagen synthesis composed of two identical alpha subunits and two beta subunits. The encoded protein is one of several different types of alpha subunits and provides the major part of the catalytic site of the active enzyme. In collagen and related proteins, prolyl 4-hydroxylase catalyzes the formation of 4-hydroxyproline that is essential to the proper three-dimensional folding of newly synthesized procollagen chains. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
DPABH-05307 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-05307 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
