This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01156) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR4P4. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR4P4 (Olfactory Receptor Family 4 Subfamily P Member 4) is a protein-coding gene that belongs to the large olfactory receptor (OR) superfamily of G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs). OR4P4 is primarily expressed in the olfactory epithelium, where it is believed to function in odorant recognition and the initiation of olfactory signal transduction via activation of intracellular G proteins such as Golf. Like other olfactory receptors, OR4P4 has a characteristic seven-transmembrane domain structure and contributes to the diversity of odor detection by binding specific volatile molecules. Although its exact ligand specificity and functional properties are not fully characterized, OR4P4 is part of the extensive repertoire of human olfactory receptors that underlie the sense of smell.

DPABH-01156 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
