General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24293) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR4K17. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR4K17 is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the olfactory receptor protein known as OR4K17, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily involved in odorant detection within the olfactory signaling pathway. Located on the forward strand of chromosome 14 at position 20,110,739-20,122,199, the gene spans approximately 11.5 kilobases and produces two transcript variants, contributing to the perception of smell by interacting with odorant molecules in the nasal epithelium to initiate neuronal responses. As part of the olfactory receptor family 4 subfamily K, OR4K17 exhibits typical seven-transmembrane domain structure and is classified as a functional gene with low pseudogene probability, playing a role in the diverse repertoire of over 400 human olfactory receptors.
DPABH-24293 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-24293 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
