General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01128) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR4K14. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR4K14 (Olfactory Receptor Family 4 Subfamily K Member 14) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes an olfactory receptor belonging to the large G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) family. Like other olfactory receptors, OR4K14 is characterized by a seven-transmembrane domain structure and is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons of the nasal epithelium, where it participates in the detection of odorant molecules. Upon binding specific volatile compounds, it activates intracellular signaling pathways (typically via olfactory G proteins such as Golf), ultimately contributing to the perception of smell. However, for OR4K14, the specific ligands and functional properties remain largely uncharacterized, as is the case for many human olfactory receptor genes.
DPABH-01128 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-01128 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
