General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22555) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human NPPA, targeting the amino acid region 25–123 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human NPPA from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), also known as atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), is a 28-amino acid peptide hormone primarily synthesized and secreted by atrial cardiomyocytes in response to atrial wall stretch caused by increased blood volume or pressure, such as in hypervolemia or hypertension. Discovered in 1981 through studies demonstrating its natriuretic effects in rats, ANP serves as a key regulator of cardiovascular and renal homeostasis by promoting sodium and water excretion (natriuresis and diuresis), inducing vasodilation, and counteracting the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS).
DPABH-22555 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:200), Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-22555 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
