General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15311) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MYH9. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with MYH9 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a conventional non-muscle myosin; this protein should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-9a or 9b (MYO9A or MYO9B). The encoded protein is a myosin IIA heavy chain that contains an IQ domain and a myosin head-like domain which is involved in several important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in this gene have been associated with non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness.
DPABH-15311 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:100) applications.
DPABH-15311 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
