General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03390) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human LANCL1, targeting the amino acid region 18–205 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with LANCL1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. LANCL1, officially known as LanC like glutathione S-transferase 1, is a protein-coding gene in humans located on the long arm of chromosome 2 at position 2q34, spanning 11 exons and encoding a 395-amino-acid protein. The encoded protein, glutathione S-transferase LANCL1 (also referred to as LanC-like protein 1 or p40), functions as a loosely associated peripheral membrane protein that belongs to the LanC family, originally identified in bacteria for roles in the biosynthesis of antimicrobial peptides such as lantibiotics. It exhibits glutathione S-transferase activity (EC 2.5.1.18), catalyzing the conjugation of reduced glutathione (GSH) to substrates like 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene, thereby contributing to cellular antioxidant defense and redox regulation.
DPABH-03390 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:20,000–1:80,000), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:2,000), IHC (1:100–1:500) applications.
DPABH-03390 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.02% Sodium Azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
