General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01612) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KRT15, targeting the amino acid region 238–450 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KRT15 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Keratin 15 (K15), also known as cytokeratin 15, is a type I acidic cytoskeletal keratin protein encoded by the KRT15 gene located on chromosome 17q21.2 in humans. It belongs to the intermediate filament family of proteins, which provide mechanical support and structural integrity to epithelial cells, particularly in basal layers of stratified epithelia such as skin and mucosal tissues. Composed of 456 amino acids with a molecular weight of approximately 49 kDa, K15 forms heterodimers with type II keratins like K5 to assemble into 10-nm intermediate filaments that maintain cytoskeletal stability during cell stress and differentiation.
DPABH-01612 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-01612 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
