General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02474) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KRT1, targeting the amino acid region 370–489 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Keratin 1 is a type II cytokeratin protein encoded by the KRT1 gene located on chromosome 12q13.13, consisting of 644 amino acids and forming part of the structural framework in epithelial cells, particularly keratinocytes in the epidermis. As a basic or neutral protein, it pairs with type I keratins such as keratin 10 to assemble into intermediate filaments that provide mechanical strength and resiliency to the skin, protecting it from friction and physical stress. These filaments are crucial for the differentiation of stratified epithelial tissues, with keratin 1 expression highly restricted to the spinous and granular layers of the epidermis.
DPABH-02474 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-02474 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
