General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-08564) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KCTD5, targeting the amino acid region 1–234 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KCTD5 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. KCTD5 belongs to the human potassium (K+) channel tetramerization domain (KCTD) family of proteins which share sequence similarity with the cytoplasmic domain of voltage-gated K+ channels (Kv channels). The KCTD proteins have relatively conserved N-terminal domains and variable C-termini (PMID: 24268103). KCTD5 interacts with cullin3 and has been proposed to function as substrate adapter for cullin3 based ubiquitin E3 ligases (PMID: 26188516). DPABH-08564 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications. DPABH-08564 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
