This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19068) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human Histone H4, targeting the amino acid region 1–103 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human Histone H4 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Histone H4 is a 103 amino acid protein, which belongs to the histone H4 family. Histone H4 localizes in the nucleus and is a core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.
DPABH-19068 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:400–1:1,600), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800), flow cytometry (FC) (0.40 μg per 10^6 cells in a 100 μl suspension) applications.
DPABH-19068 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
