General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25608) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HMGB3, targeting the amino acid region 14–176 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HMGB3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HMGB3, or high mobility group box 3, is a protein-coding gene located on the human X chromosome at cytogenetic band Xq28 that encodes a multifunctional non-histone chromatin protein belonging to the high-mobility group (HMG) superfamily, specifically the HMGB subfamily (HMGB1–4). The encoded protein, consisting of 200 amino acids, features two tandem HMG-box DNA-binding domains (A and B) and a short acidic C-terminal tail, enabling it to bind non-sequence-specifically to DNA in the minor groove, induce sharp bends (approximately 110° per domain), and act as a DNA chaperone in processes such as chromatin folding, transcription, replication, repair, and recombination.
DPABH-25608 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-25608 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
