General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18372) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human GPHN. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with GPHN from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. Enables several functions, including identical protein binding activity; molybdopterin adenylyltransferase activity; and molybdopterin molybdotransferase activity. Involved in establishment of protein localization; neurotransmitter receptor localization to postsynaptic specialization membrane; and synapse assembly. Acts upstream of or within Mo-molybdopterin cofactor biosynthetic process. Located in several cellular components, including GABA-ergic synapse; cytoplasmic side of plasma membrane; and inhibitory synapse. Is active in glycinergic synapse and postsynaptic specialization, intracellular component. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in inherited metabolic disorder and molybdenum cofactor deficiency type C. Orthologous to human GPHN (gephyrin). DPABH-18372 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:200) application. DPABH-18372 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
