General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03935) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GDI1, targeting the amino acid region 1–274 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human GDI1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GDI1 (GDP dissociation inhibitor 1) encodes a protein that regulates the activity and intracellular cycling of Rab family small GTPases, which are key controllers of vesicular membrane trafficking. GDI1 binds to prenylated, GDP-bound Rab proteins and stabilizes them in the cytosol, preventing spontaneous activation and facilitating their recycling to membrane compartments. This process is essential for maintaining proper endocytic transport, synaptic vesicle turnover, and intracellular protein sorting, particularly in neuronal cells where vesicle trafficking is critical for neurotransmission. Mutations or dysfunction of GDI1 have been associated with X-linked intellectual disability and neurological developmental abnormalities, reflecting its importance in synaptic function and brain development.
DPABH-03935 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03935 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
