This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14192) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FYN, targeting the amino acid region 231–483 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human FYN from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FYN, also named p59-Fyn and SLK, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, Tyr protein kinase family, and SRC subfamily. FYN is implicated in the control of cell growth. It plays a role in the regulation of intracellular calcium levels, with isoform 2 showing a greater ability to mobilize cytoplasmic calcium in comparison to isoform 1. FYN is required in brain development and mature brain function with important roles in the regulation of axon growth, axon guidance, and neurite extension. FYN blocks axon outgrowth and attraction induced by NTN1 by phosphorylating its receptor DDC.
DPABH-14192 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-14192 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
