This product (Catalog No. DPABH-09157) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human EIF2B5, targeting the amino acid region 455–711 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human EIF2B5 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. EIF2B5 encodes translation initiation factor eIF-2B subunit epsilon protein (PMID 8688466). EIF2B5 mutations compromise the induction of GFAP-expressing astrocytes in VWM (vanishing white matter) leukodystrophy (PMID:15723074, PMID:15776425). The upregulation of EIF2B5 is associated with cancer such as human pulmonary adenocarcinoma cell and breast cancer (PMID:24366584, PMID:24979338). EIF2B5 also has 65kDa truncated protein isoform (PMID:28961236). DPABH-09157 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:2,000–1:10,000), IHC (1:200–1:800), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications. DPABH-09157 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
