General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13444) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human DPYD, targeting the amino acid region 265–370 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with DPYD from mouse, rat, dog, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a pyrimidine catabolic enzyme and the initial and rate-limiting factor in the pathway of uracil and thymidine catabolism. Mutations in this gene result in dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase deficiency, an error in pyrimidine metabolism associated with thymine-uraciluria and an increased risk of toxicity in cancer patients receiving 5-fluorouracil chemotherapy. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
DPABH-13444 is suitable for use in IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500), ELISA (1:5,000–1:10,000) applications.
DPABH-13444 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
