General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22131) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DNTT. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase, tdT) is a template independent DNA polymerase belonging to the family of DNA polymerases X. TdT allows for the indiscriminate addition of deoxynucleotide monomers to the 3' -OH end of single-stranded (ssDNA) or double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) to continuously extend the DNA strand, and the extension reaction does not require templates, a feature that makes it of great research value and application prospect. TdT begins to express at the earliest stage of B, T cell differentiation and plays an important role in the development, progression and response of the associated cancer. In recent years, tdT has been rapidly studied as an anticancer target. TdT is an intracellular marker of strong specificity for immature lymphocytes in the hematopoietic system, expressed in pre-T and pre-B cells and in multipotent stem cells of thymus and bone marrow, strongly expressed in pre-B and pre-T lymphoblastic lymphomas, and usually negative in mature T, B cell tumors, and therefore TdT becomes a very valuable indicator for pathological diagnosis of thymoma and T, B lymphoblastic lymphomas. Previous studies have also shown that TdT is expressed positively in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), negatively in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and only AML-M0 or AML is accompanied by expression of TdT in multiple dysplasia patients, thus TdT is one of the key markers for identifying ALL and AML. The accurate detection of the expression profile of TdT in pathological samples such as cells, tissues and the like is significant for clinical diagnosis of the diseases. In addition, many biological roles of TdT have not been fully revealed, and functional studies of TdT also require accurate localization of TdT expression in cells, tissues.
DPABH-22131 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-22131 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
