Cell Line Description
Animals were immunized with dengue virus type 1 antigen prepared from infected mouse brains (the Hawaiian strain was used). The antibody is type specific. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8 myeloma cells. Antibodies should be prepared as ascites in pristane primed BALB/c mice. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).

Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3 days, start cells at 2x10^5 cells/mL and maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 cells/ml
