General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26814) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DEM1, targeting the amino acid region 1–373 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DEM1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Defects in Morphology 1 Homolog (DEM1 homolog) is a conserved protein that belongs to a family implicated in fundamental aspects of cellular growth, development, and morphology regulation. It is thought to be involved in maintaining proper cellular organization and protein homeostasis, potentially through roles in ribosome-associated processes, protein quality control, or intracellular trafficking pathways. The protein is broadly conserved across eukaryotes, indicating an essential and evolutionarily preserved function. In model organisms, DEM1 homologs have been linked to defects in cell proliferation, developmental patterning, and tissue morphology when disrupted, suggesting a critical role in coordinating normal cellular architecture. However, its precise molecular mechanism and direct biochemical activity remain incompletely characterized, and current functional understanding is largely derived from genetic and comparative studies rather than detailed biochemical evidence.
DPABH-26814 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-26814 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
