General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14375) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human DDIT4. It has been affinity purified by protein A. DDIT4 (DNA damage-inducible transcript 4), also known as REDD1 (regulated in development and DNA damage responses 1) or RTP801 (hypoxia-inducible factor 1-responsive protein RTP801), is a gene encoding a stress-responsive protein that functions as a key negative regulator of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This protein inhibits mTORC1 activity by stabilizing the tuberous sclerosis complex 1/2 (TSC1/TSC2) heterodimer, which in turn suppresses downstream signaling pathways involved in cell growth, proliferation, and metabolism under adverse conditions such as hypoxia, DNA damage, and oxidative stress. Discovered as a transcriptional target of p53 and p63, DDIT4 plays a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by linking environmental stressors to adaptive responses, including autophagy induction and apoptosis modulation.
DPABH-14375 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:200) application.
DPABH-14375 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
