General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24407) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CRLF1, targeting the amino acid region 40–340 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CRLF1 is a protein-coding gene in humans located on the short arm of chromosome 19 at position 19p13.11, which encodes cytokine receptor-like factor 1 (CRLF-1), a soluble protein belonging to the type I cytokine receptor family. This 422-amino-acid precursor protein, processed from a 37-amino-acid signal peptide, features structural motifs including an immunoglobulin-like domain, a hemopoietin domain with characteristic cysteine pairs and a WSEWS motif, and a C-terminal fibronectin type III-like repeat, but lacks a transmembrane domain, confirming its secreted nature. CRLF-1 forms a covalently linked heterodimeric complex with cardiotrophin-like cytokine factor 1 (CLCF1), which binds to the ciliary neurotrophic factor receptor (CNTFR) on target cells to activate signaling pathways such as STAT3 phosphorylation, thereby promoting neuronal survival, particularly of motor neurons, and playing roles in immune regulation and fetal development.
DPABH-24407 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-24407 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
