This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26175) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CREB1, targeting the amino acid region 122–327 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human CREB1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CREB1 serves as the prototypical member of the family, encoded by the CREB1 gene and primarily expressed as the α isoform, which includes a full N-terminal transactivation domain rich in glutamine and contributing to robust transcriptional activation upon phosphorylation. In contrast, the β isoform arises from alternative splicing that truncates this glutamine-rich region, resulting in reduced transactivation potential while retaining the bZIP domain for DNA interaction. These structural differences allow the α isoform to more effectively recruit coactivators like CBP/p300, whereas the β variant may function in a partially repressive or modulatory capacity.
DPABH-26175 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-26175 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
