Purified Recombinant Human CCL18 (>98%)
CCL18; chemokine (C-C motif) ligand29(pulmonary and activation-regulated); SCYA18, small inducible cytokine subfamily A (Cys Cys), member 18, pulmonary and activation regulated; C-C motif chemokine 18; AMAC 1; CKb7
CCL18 (C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 18) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CCL18 include gauchers disease and pulmonary fibrosis. Among its related pathways are ERK Signaling and Integrin Pathway. GO annotations related to this gene include chemokine activity. An important paralog of this gene is CCL15. This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for naive T cells, CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and nonactivated lymphocytes, but not for monocytes or granulocytes. This chemokine attracts naive T lymphocytes toward dendritic cells and activated macrophages in lymph nodes. It may play a role in both humoral and cell-mediated immunity responses.
Human MIP-4 is a CC chemokine that is expressed in lymph nodes, lungs, placenta and bone marrow. MIP-4"s primary receptor is unknown. MIP-4 chemoattracts lymphocytes, and has been shown to exert activity on both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. Chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes. May be involved in B-cell migration into B-cell follicles in lymph nodes. Attracts naive T-lymphocytes toward dendritic cells and activated macrophages in lymph nodes, has chemotactic activity for naive T-cells, CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells and thus may play a role in both humoral and cell-mediated immunity responses. The function about CCL18 antigen include chemokine activity; protein binding.
