This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21102) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human BANF2, targeting the amino acid region 1–90 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human BANF2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. BANF2 (Barrier-to-autointegration factor 2), also called BAF-L (Barrier-to-autointegration factor-like protein), is a homologous gene termed BAF, which shows a 53% similarity in the protein sequence with BANF2 in humans (PMID: 35216101; 16337940). Unlike BAF, BANF2 plays an important role in spermiogenesis and spermatozoal function, and it is a male germ cell marker, whose expression is highly associated with the maturation of male germ cells (PMID: 33951625; 35216101).
DPABH-21102 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000) application.
DPABH-21102 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
