General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19726) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ASPA. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ASPA from mouse, rat, and monkey. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of N-acetyl_L-aspartic acid (NAA) to aspartate and acetate. NAA is abundant in the brain where hydrolysis by aspartoacylase is thought to help maintain white matter. This protein is an NAA scavenger in other tissues. Mutations in this gene cause Canavan disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. DPABH-19726 is suitable for use in IHC 1 (50-1:200), WB 1 (500-1:2000) applications. DPABH-19726 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
