This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03624) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ARRB2, targeting the amino acid region 1–368 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Arrestin beta 2, also known as β-arrestin 2 or arrestin-3 and encoded by the human ARRB2 gene on chromosome 17p13.2, is a multifunctional intracellular adaptor protein belonging to the arrestin family. This ~45 kDa protein primarily regulates G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) by binding to their phosphorylated, activated forms, thereby mediating receptor desensitization, endocytosis via clathrin-coated pits, and trafficking to endosomes or lysosomes, which dampens cellular responses to stimuli like hormones and neurotransmitters. Beyond desensitization, it acts as a scaffold for diverse signaling pathways, facilitating interactions with kinases (e.g., ERK1/2, JNK3, Src), E3 ubiquitin ligases, and other effectors to initiate GPCR-independent and biased signaling cascades that influence processes such as synaptic transmission, metabolism, and immune responses.
DPABH-03624 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03624 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
