This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18069) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AKT1S1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with AKT1S1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. AKT1S1 (AKT1 substrate 1), commonly known as PRAS40 (Proline-rich Akt-substrate of 40-kDa), is a crucial protein that acts as a negative regulator of the mTORC1 (mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1) pathway. It functions as a key substrate for AKT and regulates cellular processes like metabolism, growth, and apoptosis, with its activity often modulated by insulin and phosphorylation.
DPABH-18069 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:100) applications.
DPABH-18069 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
