General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20163) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ADD1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ADD1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ADD1 (Adducin 1, Alpha) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes the α-subunit of the adducin protein complex, which also includes β- and γ-subunits. Adducin proteins are cytoskeletal components that localize to the spectrin–actin network beneath the plasma membrane, where they play a key role in regulating cytoskeletal assembly, cell shape, and membrane stability. ADD1 is involved in capping actin filaments and promoting the interaction between actin and spectrin, thereby contributing to the structural integrity of the cell membrane and processes such as cell adhesion and signal transduction. It is expressed in various tissues, particularly in erythrocytes, brain, and kidney, and has been implicated in physiological processes such as blood pressure regulation and renal sodium handling.
DPABH-20163 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200) applications.
DPABH-20163 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
