General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23223) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ACYP2, targeting the amino acid region 2–99 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ACYP2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ACYP2 is a protein-coding gene located on human chromosome 2p16.2 that encodes acylphosphatase 2 (also known as the muscle-type isoenzyme, or MT), a small enzyme belonging to the acylphosphatase family. This enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of acyl phosphate bonds, particularly the phosphoenzyme intermediates formed during the activity of membrane pumps such as the Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺-ATPase in the sarcoplasmic reticulum of skeletal muscle, thereby regulating ion transport and preventing the accumulation of these unstable intermediates. Its physiological role extends to modulating cellular processes influenced by calcium homeostasis, though the full scope remains under investigation.
DPABH-23223 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-23223 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
