General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03389) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ACTR3. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ACTR3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ACTR3 is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes actin-related protein 3 (ARP3), a key subunit of the ARP2/3 complex responsible for nucleating branched actin filaments essential for cellular processes such as motility and cytoskeletal dynamics. The ARP2/3 complex, comprising seven subunits including ARP2 and ARP3, facilitates de novo actin polymerization by mimicking the structure of actin dimers to initiate filament branching upon activation by nucleation-promoting factors (NPFs). Located on chromosome 2q14.1, the ACTR3 gene produces a 47-kDa protein that binds ATP and interacts with other complex members to regulate actin cytoskeleton organization in response to cellular signals. Mutations or dysregulation of ACTR3 have been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer progression due to altered cell migration and invasion capabilities.
DPABH-03389 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-03389 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
